Kia ora e te whānau mā,
As everyone is talking about winding down and wrapping up for the year, we caregivers don’t get that luxury do we. As our beautiful children are finishing off the school year, we are busy stocking up on sunblock and insect repellent and all the other goodies we need to see us through the summer holidays. No rest and relaxation here!
As this is the last word for 2025, I want to acknowledge all of you that I have been able to connect with this year. It has been a busy year with Caring Families Aotearoa as we have navigated a very different path with the introduction of self-directed learning and new larger regions. Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we explore your caregiver journey with you. Caring Families Aotearoa is nothing without you.
I have included a little montage of photos of my year in the Northeast region.
He aha te mea nui o te Ao? He tangata, he tangata, he tangata.
What is the most important thing in the world? It is people, it is people, it is people.
Take care of yourselves, accept all the love that is coming your way and don’t forget the sunblock!
Meri Kirihimete koutou katoa.
Aroha nui nā Nyvonne
I finish work on Thursday 18 December and return on Monday 19 January.

Our new course this month, Understanding Wellbeing from a Cultural Lens, is a reminder for us all to take some time to consider our wellbeing. This course will show you how to use a cultural model to develop a holistic view of your own well-being and that of others. It is a gentle learning experience giving you the time to explore how connection and balance contribute towards overall well-being.
