Family Fun Days
Every year Caring Families Aotearoa have FREE tickets for caregiving whānau to attend Family Fun Days. These are community events funded by local businesses, and are hosted around New Zealand from October to December every year.
In 2025 we held 33 FREE events around the country, spanning right from the upper north to the deep south. Check back in September 2026 for registrations details and snap up some tickets for a Family Fun Day near you!
What are Family Fun Days?
Family Fun Days are a great day out for children in care, joined by other deserving children who have had a tough start to life, and biological children of foster and whānau caregivers.
The events include pool parties, movie screenings and ten pin bowling. Caregivers love these events because they take the hassle out of organising everything, and they get to focus on spending quality time with their tamariki.
Santa will make an appearance at all Family Fun Days in December!

It was an amazing day! The weather really put it on for us. Caring Families Aotearoa organisers were so lovely as well. The kids had so much fun and even had a turn on the hydroslides which was a PLUS!! It was their first time having a go so that made it a little more special for our tamariki. Thank you so much!! 🥰
