CEO Message May 2025

Kia ora
Thank you to everyone who participated in our annual membership survey last month. We really value your feedback as it allows us to make sure our services are meeting your needs and supporting you in the best way possible.
This month is an exciting one on the training front. We launch our new, self-directed online learning for caregivers – a different approach to our former face-to-face and online facilitated training, but one that’s been developed with you in mind.
Now you have the option to complete each course at your own pace, dipping in whenever convenient to work through small, manageable sections at a time.
I encourage you to learn more about the two new courses we’re releasing on 12 May, as I have no doubt they will support you on your caregiving journey. Check our training page for more information.
I hope the first few days of Term 2 have gone smoothly for those of you with school-age tamariki. It’s an unsettling time for many, as we know transitions can be difficult for children who have experienced trauma. Remember to keep at your PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy) as your children will be looking to you for support.
I also acknowledge that many of you will need the respite that school offers. Please be kind to yourself and don’t hesitate to reach out during this time. We are just a phone call away – 0800 693 323.
Noho ora mai (Stay well, look after yourselves, goodbye),
