Tena Koutou, Malo I le lei, Talofa lava, Kia Orana, Fakalofa Lahi Atu, Kia ora everyone!

We start our year with the world looking very different from what it did last year. If you have whānau abroad, I truly hope they are safe and well, whichever country they may be in and that you are able to stay in contact with them.

This year, I am hosting a monthly coffee date in different areas throughout the region. The last Thursday of each month I am offering caregivers in an area to come and have a coffee and chat with other caregivers, a member of the regional committee, and myself.  This month we are going to be at the L&P café, 2 Seymour Street, Paeroa on Thursday 25 February from 1.30 pm – 3.00 pm.  If you are registered for the National Care Standards training that day, then the coffee and chat is straight after that. I look forward to meeting some new members and catching up with some old friends.

Training

The new training calendar is out now and registrations are open so if you haven’t had a look yet, click on the link below and check out what’s new. There are some online training opportunities that may prove useful.

If you are helping young ones navigate their way back to a school routine, all power to you. Take a breath and be kind to yourself.  It can be such a scary and stressful time for them and you!

Aroha me te manaakitanga ki a koutou katoa / Love and blessings to you all.
