NEW – Training Registration Information
If you’re one of our caregiver members, we want to make it simple, friendly, and stress-free for you to access our online self-directed training courses.
There are two different registration pathways, depending on the type of support you receive as a caregiver.
To help you find the right registration pathway for you, please take our quick 1 minute quiz, or read below for an explanation of our registration pathways.
Registration Pathways
Pathway One – caregivers receiving UCB, OB, OT payment or no payment
If you are a caregiver member of ours, who receives an Unsupported Child Benefit (UCB), Orphans Benefit (OB), Oranga Tamariki (OT) payment or you don’t receive a benefit, or have No Agency, you are all set to go. Our system will automatically send an email to you, 15 days before the start date of the course, asking you to choose your course/s for the following month.
Pathway Two – caregivers with Agency Support (Not Oranga Tamariki)
If you are a caregiver member who receives financial support from a supporting Agency, (e.g. Barnardos, Open Home Foundation, Dingwall Trust, some Iwi), your Agency has been notified about our new training registration process. They will receive an email 15 days before the start date of the course asking them to register their caregivers on a course. While this is a new process, we suggest you contact your agency to let them know you would like to complete training with us.
If you are still unsure please call us, 0800 693 323, or email training@caringfamilies.org.nz.
For either pathway, if you are not a member with us, you can access our Membership Form here. Membership is FREE!
