Kia ora Koutou Katoa,

I love November! You can pretend that Christmas is not around the corner and maintain some of your sanity for four more weeks before Yuletide reality slaps you in the face. Little Master Two will be turning three this month and we have been busy in our garden again. He doesn’t seem to tire of the battle with the slugs and snails, happily re-homing them to the other end of the yard. Now our strawberries are starting to flower, so we are having to contend with aerial attacks which has created a new opportunity for playful construction of barriers etc. The results are not very effective, but the fun we’re having, thinking of new ideas and then rebuilding is awesome. It’s such a lovely time to be outside just enjoying the fresh air and the UV light. I highly recommend it.

The P in PACE, is ‘Playfulness’. Part of it is about just doing stuff together with our tamariki. For me, it was being in the garden, working side by side, laughing together, faces connecting together and me being attuned to his needs, language and the experience in that moment of connection while doing ‘Playfulness’.

Family Fun Days

family fun day 2020

November and early December are our Family Fun Day months, and this year there are five events within our region.

  • Hamilton, Waterworld, 29 November
  • Pukekohe, Ten Pin Cosmopolitan, 12 December
  • Manukau, Manukau Superstrike, 13 December

If you live in the Waikato or Hauraki, come along to ten pin bowling in South Auckland and if you live in the Hauraki or South Auckland, why not make a day of it and join us in Hamilton for a free swim! The movie events are being held in Whangamata and Thames, so you could go to the movies and then the beach afterwards. I look forward to seeing you there!
