Kia ora koutou katoa,

Well, I hope we all made it through the school holidays ok!  Did you manage to get some downtime for yourself?  I was fortunate enough to take part in a Wahine Retreat which was amazing; resetting and clearing some of the old, and making room for the new!  Meeting and developing new relationships was also a highlight for me, including just having some space to be….Back to reality now, fresh and ready for what’s ahead 🙂

For many of us school started back for our tamariki/rangatahi. After a break sometimes it takes them a little bit to get back into the groove of it.  Remember to use PACE, it can be like starting all over again for some of our tamariki/rangatahi.

I would also like to inform you that Heather Jeffcote has resigned from both of her roles within Caring Families Aotearoa as a liaison person for our Rotorua Group and Regional Committee member, as her focus is needed elsewhere. Heather has been an amazing asset for our team in Central North with a wealth of knowledge and commitment to supporting fellow caregivers.  We wish Heather the best of luck and will always be here if needed!  You know where we are, so don’t be a stranger 🙂
