Kia ora everyone,

Aroha mai, apologies that Chris hasn’t been at work for a couple of weeks. She has a personal situation she is dealing with currently.

This has reminded me that, as caregivers, we have many times in our lives where things haven’t ended how we would have wanted them to with the tamariki (children) or rangitahi (young people) that come and go into or from our homes. Grief and loss come in and out of our lives, in some shape or form, more than we would like.

It’s hard to know how to navigate our feelings in the midst of such immense change, and it often can feel like you’re the only person experiencing what you’re feeling. Remember to be patient with yourself and with others. Honour your own thoughts and be open to your feelings towards what you are experiencing.
