Kia ora koutou,
Ko Karen toku ingoa
Kei Heretaunga matou e noho ana.
Kia ora everyone, my name is Karen and I live in the Hawkes Bay.

Between my husband and I, we have five beautiful shared tamariki (children) and six grandchildren.
I have been working with children with special needs and adverse childhood experiences within the education sector. I’m excited to work for Caring Families Aotearoa as this role allows me to support children and caregivers to create a happy home environment.

East Coast Regional Coordinator

Over the last few weeks, I have been settling into my new role and I am looking forward to getting to know you over the coming months. If you need support or need to chat, please call us on 0800 693 323.

I know in our homes the holiday season can be overstimulating, bring up anxieties, or see an increase in challenging behaviours. Here’s an article we wrote to support your tamariki during Christmas time:

Ngā mihi o te Kirihimete me te Tau Hou (Season’s greetings for Christmas and the New Year)
