Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou katoa/Greetings to you all

We have had such hot weather across the motu (region) until recently and suddenly it is beginning to feel like Autumn here in the mornings. I am slowly getting around to meeting with some of you and would love to hear from you if you would like to touch base, my number is 027 204 6908.

I am yet to make the trip to Gisborne as it is not easy to plan with the ever-changing rules for the way we meet. However, I am hoping that this will happen at some stage perhaps next term as we learn to navigate these ‘unprecedented times.’

Caring Families Aotearoa is excited to bring you an online event for Foster Care Awareness Week on Wednesday 9 March.  You can join in from the comfort of your home.  Sarah Naish will be presenting to you, Caregivers in Aotearoa. She’s walked the talk and is humorous while sharing her experiences personally and from what she has gleaned from working with many other Caregivers. She also has written some great readable books. We are offering two events, a late morning and evening session so all can hear her. Click here to register.

Our training “Making Changes-Stability in Hard Times” is a good opportunity to reflect on self-care and the importance of this as a caregiver. The module contains valuable information that might just help you understand yourself and your tamariki and mokopuna more and to help create a calmer, less surprising, family environment to live in. It’s all about the relationship! If you have not yet signed up and would like to, then click here.

Take care of yourselves and your whānau.

Ngā mihi
