Kia ora everyone,

For those of you who haven’t heard yet, Sarah your Regional Coordinator, has moved on to another role.  We thank Sarah for the great job she did supporting caregivers and wish her well on her new adventure.

Going forward, if you need support, advice or just want to chat, contact our National Office on 0800 693 232.

Here is a message from Sarah:

“It has been a great journey being your East Coast Regional Coordinator over the last six months. However, due to competing personal commitments, I have resigned to take up a new position outside of Caring Families Aotearoa.

I wish you all well and for those of you who are attending the Caring Families Aotearoa National Conference, I hope you receive nourishment,  support, and strength from the speakers and from each other.”

Training

We will still be running training this term which will be delivered by another Regional Coordinator.

What’s Behind the Behaviour – Healing Centred Engagement will be delivered in Gisborne, Hawkes Bay and Te Puia Springs.

The National Care Standards require caregivers to receive training to meet the needs of the children in their care. If you have an Agency please discuss your training needs with your Caregiver Social Worker.

Our training is designed to enable and equip you with knowledge to help your tamariki thrive and to also give you the chance to meet other caregivers in your area. Assistance may be available for travel and childcare expenses.
