Foster Care Awareness Week
Foster Care Awareness week is an annual celebration held every March. It’s a special week that is all about celebrating YOU; our wonderful caregiver members who put in the mahi every day to care for some of Aotearoa’s most vulnerable children.
In 2023, Foster Care Awareness Week took place from 6-12th March. We showed our appreciation by hosting amazing events all around the motu (country), and giving caregivers the opportunity to treat themselves.
Check out some of the highlights below!
“What a lovely night, the people to chat and share the night with, the amazing desserts, the generous people that gave their time for the pampering and to all that organised such a great event – thank you so much. It was lovely to feel pampered and time spend on us when we often leave so little for ourselves.”
“Thanks for an awesome and incredibly informative night. What a great bunch of people. The most connected I’ve felt to a foster village for a long time.”
