Did you know we provide One on One Support?

Strong support is vital to ensure secure and healing homes for children in care, so that they can heal.  It is important that you never feel alone during your caregiving journey.

We have Regional Coordinators throughout Aotearoa, that are here to support you and your whānau through the challenges you may be facing as a care family. Whether you’re experiencing a behavioural issue with your tamariki, or you just need someone to listen to you or advocate for you.

The support we offer you is specific to those caring for tamariki and rangatahi (children and young people), who have experienced trauma known as Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES). The support you receive will be based around a framework that is healing centred and trauma informed.

We know that every care journey is different and for complex cases, we have Practice Advisors who work with our Regional Coordinators.

Our Practice Advisors work in the fields of;

  • Behavioural Management
  • Policy and Legal
  • Education
  • Disabilities

You never need to feel alone. If you need to talk, call your Regional Coordinator or National Office on 0800 693 323 for a chat.  To find your Regional Coordinator’s contact details click the button.

Here is some feedback from caregivers about our one on one service:
