CEO Message May 2024

Kia ora,

We received a fantastic response to our caregiver survey last month, and I would like to personally thank every one of you who shared your feedback with us. Gaining insight from you, our caregivers, is truly invaluable when it comes to improving our services and support, so thank you.

Some exciting news is that registrations for our national conference (24-25th September) will be opening this month! We’re looking forward to hosting you for a wonderful two days in Christchurch later this year. For more details about what to expect at conference, click here.

April saw us say goodbye to daylight savings for another year, meaning we are well on our way to those winter months. The transition to darker evenings and colder weather can certainly affect your mood and make it more difficult to maintain motivation and energy levels. Therefore, I hope you are all doing what you need to do to take good care of yourselves, both physically and mentally.

This month we also celebrate Mother’s Day, which can be a wonderful day for some, and incredibly difficult for others. Whatever feelings this day brings up for you, I hope you are surrounded by loved ones you can share them with.

Mā te wā (Bye, for now, see you later).

Linda Surtees
